Throughout the production of our film i have learnt to use numerous different technologies to help better my final cut of the film.
The most noticeable application i used was 'premiere pro'.This is where i learnt to cut, put together and add numerous sound effects onto the shots i took. In mainly used premiere pro to cut clips, add sound and colour correct some shots.
Using this application i managed to change the colour of certain shots by adding a tint. This was done so that in the POV shots where the colour was actually changed it gave the audience a sense that the thing watching over our main character wasn't human. This added to both the suspense and tension of the film, which was the desired effect we were going for.
Also we mainly used the application to cut clips and add sound sound effects. Cutting the clips down was made easy using the razor tool. This was useful because not only did it give us the ability to add match cuts within the opening title sequence, it also gave us the ability to cut away any footage we didn't want in the final production of our film.
We also used adobe after effects. With this program we added
our title credits onto our film and i also added motion tracking on
the letter R drawn onto our actor leg. With the final production
of our title sequence we added credits using adobe after effects.
This was done by adding a dynamic link onto the clip in which
i wanted the credit to be displayed
Using After effects we managed to make it so the letter 'R' was glowing/ pulsing on our actors leg, and we also managed to key out the actors hand as she rested it on top of the 'R' so that none of the 'R' was visible. This was done by an effect called motion tracking. This required me to go frame by frame to allow the 'R' to be hidden underneath the actors hand as she moves it over the 'R'. This was a long process due to the fact that we had to go frame by frame in order to key out the hand. We felt that this was necessary in order to convince the audience that the 'R' was actually burning into the actors skin.

We also used the iMacs in our media department quiet a bit. We learnt how to navigate its OS (Operating system) a skill we didn't have due to most of us being used to using Windows OS.
