Title Sequences
My favourite type of film opening is is the discrete opening. This was due to the fact that during the opening of Seven, I felt as if i was in the mind of the psycho ultimately grasping my attention more, making my experience even better. The distortion within the title sequence whilst the credits were going by made it seem that the person on camera wasn't totally in tact in terms of his or her mental well being, which in my opinion leaves the audience on edge because people who are not mentally stable are unpredictable.
Other title sequences include:
-Discrete
A discrete opening sequence is small hint to the plot without giving away any major plot details.
-Stylised
A stylised opening sequence has elements of narrative and CGI (Computer Generated Imagery)
-Narrative
A narrative opening sequence tells you some plot details giving the audience hints on what the film will be about.
